Gregory Jeffers’ stories have appeared in a dozen or so literary journals including Chantwood, Suisun Valley Review, Typehouse Literary Magazine, Corvus Review, and Bards and Sages Quarterly, 34 Orchard, and several anthologies including Hard Boiled, and If This Goes On (Parvus Press) and Jacked: Crime Stories.

His stories won first place honors in the 2019 Writer’s Digest Short Short Fiction Contest, the Sixfold Summer 2019 Fiction Competition, and the Highly Commended Award in the 2022 Newcastle Short Story Awards. Other stories were short listed for the Himes Prize in 2020, Fish Publishing’s 20/21 Short Story Contest, and the 2021 Tucson Festival of Books.

He graduated from St. Lawrence University with a BA in English Literature.

Most of his career centered on restoring historic buildings and bridges. Later in his career he focused on consultation in the building sciences. Writing fiction has been a life-long passion and took center stage in 2010.

Greg lives and writes in the High Peaks Wilderness Area of the Adirondack Park and on Vieques Island with his wife, their terrier, and occasionally one or more of his three children and seven grandchildren.
